Position: acting last

Acting after your opponent is a permanent edge: you see what they do before you commit a single chip. The Button acts last on every street after the flop, which is why it's the most profitable seat at the table and why its chart plays nearly half of all hands. The blinds act first postflop (the worst spot), so they play carefully despite being forced to invest early.

The rule that follows is to play tight in early position and loosen up as you get closer to the button. Comparing the Lojack chart (~15% of hands) with the Button chart (~40%) in the Range Viewer shows the size of the effect.
